Synopsis:
"Set in a broken future world, this short allows the audience a peek
into the life of Demeter as she confronts people from her past life,
including Nalos - her one-time mentor, and Daphene - the equally brilliant
woman who shares a personal past connection with Demeter. When Demeter
learns of Daphene's betrayal, all bets are off as to how she will react to
something that affects her on so personal a level. "
Mike Madigan, writer / director of "Demeter: Surrender", from Five Clover Films. Demeter is Mike's fifth short film as a director, after Room X (2005), CAUGHT (2006), The Candle (2007), and the first "Demeter" (2007). Room X premiered at the Texas Film Festival, Texas A&M University in March 2005. His second film CAUGHT showed at 11 film festivals in the United States, including the 2006 FAIF International Film Festival (Los Angeles), the 2006 Flint Film Festival (Michigan) and the 2006 Big Island Film Festival (Hawaii). When not behind the camera, Mike's day job is in Human Resources within the automotive industry in Detroit.
