Synopsis:

A man wakes from a dream in which some sort of violent altercation has taken place with a beachcomber beneath a pier, then begins to see clues which suggest his dream may actually have taken place in reality, and that he may have committed an unspeakable crime. The man goes to the pier from his dream, and is sucked back into his disturbing vision. He remembers more and more details, finds a weapon that had been caked in blood, and is drawn into a kind of dream trance. The beachcomber from his dream suddenly appears, and before our hero has time to realize that the beachcomber has only approached the man out of concern, the man tragically fulfills a destiny he had tried to avoid.
