Synopsis:

Everyone is hurting, no matter how it appears. In this original student produced film directed by Josh Burk and written by Angela Marie Harger, a close group of friends relate to one another in the midst of college stresses, family problems, and their own secret sins. Jeremy is a relatively stable guy who often finds himself lonely even when surrounded by friends. Matt and Kara struggle to maintain a relationship while holding themselves and one another to impossible standards. Jamie is confused as she searches for her purpose in life. Thomas maintains a damaging habit that causes him to drift away from the others, while Delia struggles to find her identity. These six students learn how to face the consequences that result from their actions.

Filmmaker Bio:

Josh Burk is a 2007 Honors graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and Spanish. He has worked professionally in both the radio and video industries.

"Figured Out" is his first independent film project which he both directed and produced, and he hopes to continue working in the film industry in the future.

As a writer, he has authored two novellas "DudE4AllTheChicks17" and "Summer Santa," and has been a weekly columnist for the Ouachita newspaper "The Signal."

His interests include outdoor sports and religious pursuits. He is actively involved in the Big Brother/Big Sister mentoring program, and has spent time in Peru, India, and Costa Rica.

He is currently working on an untitled short film with independent director Danny Brown.
