Synopsis:
This
modern-made film is based on the biography of Karol
Wojtyla,
and tells stories of young people born when the
popular
Polish priest become a pope for the world. They
matured
during his pontificate and their not always easy
lives
crossed roads with the teachings and pilgrimage of
Pope
John Paul II.
Heroes
are of two sorts: famous personalities and the
unknown.
They are of different nationalities, opinions and
cultures.
They represent different religious denominations.
They
differ in philosophies of life, profession, interests. But
in
this particular crossroad, they are connected by a
birthday
– and the personage of the Holy Father, John
Paul
II, who was a generation’s inspiration and the main
point
of this story of his effect on their lives.

Filmmaker
Bio:
Jowita
is the one of leading director in Canal+ Poland.
She is the author of many documentaries for Canal+ both in Poland and
France and has directed several children’s programs and commercials for
major advertising companies, also music clips for leading performers. In
addition to directing the film, Ms. Gondek has written many of
screenplays.
In
1993 Ms. Gondek graduated from the Art Poster faculty of the Academy of Art
in Warsaw (She received the scholarship in Lyon, France).
In September 1995 she finished her second faculty – Film and TV
Directing, (Krzysztof
Kieślowski master class).
She has worked with the best people in Poland.
