Synopsis:  

Saint Peter is in a lousy mood: he's trying to get away on his first vacation in 123 years, but none of the other saints want to cover for him. Before he can leave, he must decide the fate of Joe and Liz, a newly-dead couple who have secrets from each other that may keep them from Heaven.

Scriptwriter Bio:  

Mara Lesemann recently produced the digital video version of her dark comedy thriller Albert and Mandy.  It screened at the Action on Film Festival in Long Beach, CA and the Indie Gathering in Cleveland, and will apppear next at the Wildwood-by-the-Sea Film Festival on September 28.  She is currently producing a digital video of her award-winning short screenplay, The Woman Next Door, about a woman whose husband was killed in Iraq.   Mara's shortscreenplay. 

Mara's full-length play The Fertility Factor was produced off-off-Broadway in July 2005.  Her short plays Albert and Mandy, Getting In, and Promotion have all appeared in the Riant Theatre's Strawberry One Act Festival.  The Woman Next Door and A Model Girlfriend received staged readings from First Stage L.A.

Mara received a BA from the New School, with a concentration in Media Studies and Film.  She lives in Jersey City, NJ with her husband and their two cats.
