Boo's Birthday
Written by: Jorge Ponce
The Loomings have gathered for
Boo's 14th Birthday Party. While absentminded Cookie serves the
appetizers and troubled Frank scorches the wieners, the
"children", their middle-aged sons and daughters, sit
in the living room, as life-long ticking bombs tick louder and
louder under their seats . But there's more than a cake in the
oven...
Bio:
Born in Lima, Peru, and with a BFA
in Film & TV from the Savannah College of Art and Design,
Jorge
Enrique Ponce discovered at an early age that he had an unusual
need which could only be satisfied when mixing everyday images
and far-out experiences into unique and captivating stories. He
has worked on several professional sets both in Peru and the
U.S., one of them being the series made for the Internet
"Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.” A strong sense of the use
of color, composition, and intricate arc development, have
guided him in creating visually compelling and entertaining
projects and character driven scripts, filled with flawed and
outrageous personas. His short, "MEATSHAKE: A Musical"
was screened during the New Filmmakers Festival in NYC on April
of 09, and his pilot script "Connor Dearden" was a
finalist during the Cinema City International Film Festival. He
now resides in Los Angeles, CA, working on even more stories,
short and long, bitter and sweet.
