Mowood
Written by: Dave Eisenstark
Out-of-work
Michigan auto-workers try to start the movie equivalent of
Motown.
Hank
Yeager, afraid he's losing his wife, desperate to start the
family he's always dreamed of, enrolls himself and fellow
laid-off auto-worker Corky Wilkenson in a training program to
become grips.
Too
bad they're terrible at it.
But
that doesn't stop them from landing a job on a movie through
sheer moxie...
And
getting fired an hour and a half later.
Knowing
his chances of ever being a father are dwindling by the minute,
Hank proposes they make their own movie by sneaking onto the set
and borrowing the equipment at night.
Amazingly,
it works, with the help of Corky's teenaged son--a budding
Godard--and the troubled young movie starlet who discovers him.
Bio:
Originally
from Kansas, Dave Eisenstark now lives in Hollywood and works in
the film industry in various capacities, often writing
low-budget scripts on assignment. His award-winning comedy,
MONKEY
LOVE, starring Jeremy Renner (THE HURT LOCKER), is available at
your better DVD outlets everywhere. His latest script, MOWOOD,
represents a shameless, cynical attempt to cash in on the
Michigan film incentive program.
