Bio: Lis Anna is the recipient of many awards including; WorldFest, FadeIn, Telluride IndieFest, the Helene Wurlitzer Grant, Chesterfield Film Project Finalist, New Century Writers and a finalist in the prestigious William Faulkner Competition. Her short films, screenplays, and novels have all been nominated and won awards including Best Novel and Best Short Film. In 2005 "Bankers" has been awarded a quarter-finalist in the International Screenplay Awards, semi-finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting and First Place in The American Accolades Screenwriting Competition. Her films have screened at Cannes Film Festival 2005-2006, Tupelo Film Festival, RiverRun International Film Festival, the Action on Film Festival, and The Atlanta Underground. She is the Second Place Winner of the Thomas Wolfe Fiction Award 2006, the Fourth Place New Century Writers Short Fiction Winner and Second Place Winner Best Dramatic Short Tupelo Film Festival 2006. In 2006 she received the Best in Show Award from The Accolades Film Awards for her film "The Joy Cafe" and an Honorable Mention for "Rutherford County".
