During
WWII a pilot meets a girl at a USO dance and it's love at first sight.
During the night they get to know each other and they marry the next
day. He is shipped over seas and his plane is shot down and he is
killed. Flash forward 60 years, the woman has gone on and remarried and
had a family. She is now being put into a elderly care home by her
daughter because she is becoming forgetful and no longer able to take
care of herself.
The woman is resisting going to the home and refuses to sign the papers.
Her house has been sold but she doesn't want to leave it.
She begins to receive what she thinks are signs and messages from the
pilot who died 60 years ago. This was a secret that she had kept from
her family. The daughter first startled by the fact that her mother was
married before and convinced now that she is in need of assistance knows
that the best place for her is the elderly home. The two women argue
about her going, but the elderly woman convinces her daughter to take
her to the train station where the woman last left the pilot and his
promise to return. There as she sits alone in the empty station the
spirit of the dead pilot returns to complete the dance they didn't 60
years ago. After the dance she finds herself alone and disappears
joining her one true love.
