Synopsis:
Ernie, a wheelchair-bound paraplegic returns home to his apartment building to find the elevator not working. Unable to grab his neighbors' attention, he forces himself to communicate with an unsympathetic Hispanic janitor who speaks no English and who simply wants to do his job cleaning the lobby and leave. Complicating matters is the appearance of another tenant quick to judge who does not get along with the janitor and accuses him of a careless and negligent act. Ernie finds himself stuck between two mutually exclusive choices: revealing the janitor's innocence, or persuading the tenant to help him to his apartment.
