A falling star, a
final farewell...A devastating, poetic tale of loneliness and
loss in the Los Angeles night. As the Russian space station MIR
makes its final fiery journey from space to earth, Boris learns
to live and love again. BORIS learns that the Russian space
station MIR is to be de-orbited into the Pacific Ocean forever.
Determined to see it one last time, he rushes home only to
discover that his cherished telescope has been taken in lieu of
rent by his landlady and her son. Forced to make fast money, he
confronts his past and learns to navigate his future.

FRANCESCA GALESI recently graduated with her MFA in the
directing program at the American Film Institute (AFI).
She began making experimental and documentary films as an
undergraduate at the Rhode Island School of Design before moving
to NYC where she continued to work in all aspects of the
industry, from AC to AD. In 1999 she directed DAY AND AN ARABIAN
KNIGHT which gained attention at festivals worldwide and is set
to air as part of the PBS series "The Short List" in
2003. Currently Francesca is working on another short, "The
American Way" and her first feature.
