A rite of passage story set in Brooklyn on November 25, 1963--the day of President Kennedy's Funeral. An Italian American grandfather attempts to entice his unwilling three-year-old grandson, Giorgio, into receiving his first barbershop haircut. Thirty-seven years later, Giorgio reflects back on those events as he stands at his grandfather's coffin holding a lock of hair saved from that unforgettable day.
