Call Now!
. . . Girls Are Waiting
Category:
Narrative Short 25min 40sec
Director: Eric Westerlund
Viewings: Fri, Sept.6 11:00am
A boy, a girl, a
phone, a number. What’s to figure out? Everything, when the
boy is Ted Harper. Will he call? End up with the cute
neighbor who keeps trying to borrow his phone? Or do the
sensible thing and get a haircut? Made with no outside funding,
"Call Now! ...girls are waiting" is a truly
independent work. Tired of predictable stories, Writer/Director
Eric Westerlund created a nonlinear narrative that defies
expectation at every turn without sacrificing coherence. The
film ambitiously spans multiple time frames and features a
17-member cast and some 30 locations. Shot on Mini DV by
film D.P. Ariel Benarroch, "Call Now" achieves the
look and feel of a feature film in a mere 25 minutes.
