Peeping Tom

Category: Narrative Short  11min 47 sec
Director: Jason Todd Ipson

Just teetering south of puberty, young Thomas Harris has discovered that instead of looking at stars, he can use his new telescope to study the beautiful woman next door.  While "studying", he is busted by his mother and begs her not to tell his dad. At dinner, his father asks him about his new telescope.  Thomas narrowly escapes when his brother Sean finds a wishbone, and suggests that they make a wish.  Reaching to break the wishbone, Thomas thinks of his ultimate dream - to see the sexy neighbor naked. Thomas' wish comes true and he stays up all night watching her.  He pays the price for his sleepless night, however, the next morning when his father awakens him into a whole NUDE WORLD.  To confirm his worst fears, Thomas sprints outside and discovers that it is not just a terrible dream… his vision may never be the same.

Jason Todd Ipson (Director):  Born and reared in Salt Lake City, Jason got his start directing videos for his high school assemblies.  Although his passion for film ran deep, Jason turned his attention to the sciences, graduating with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Biology and then a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Utah.  Not wanting his filmmaking interests to die, Jason continued to develop ideas for feature films throughout medical school and residency before leaving his residency program to attend the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-TV.   While at USC, he was selected from a competitive list of applicants to direct the award winning short film script Peeping Tom, and won the Sloan Scholarship Competition with his sister (also at USC Cinema-TV) for his short script A Modern Vampire.  Jason graduated in 2001 from USC the top in his class, winning the prestigious Ferguson Marketing Award for best graduating thesis.  He is currently in pre-production as the director of A Modern Vampire, as well as completing his fifth screenplay
