Quest

Category: Experimental 48 min: 00 sec
Director: Byron McKim

'Quest' is an eloquent union of storytelling, traditional native music, First Nation mythology and modern dance interpreting the stories of Mother Earth and the rite of passage of the soul. This original native dance piece was created and written by Byron Chief-Moon from the stories his grandparents' from the Blood Reserve once told him as a child about the 'Sleeping People'. 'Quest' examines how modern life has led to the loss of rituals, a lack of respect for nature and spiritual emptiness.
