2005 GLFA Films

Slime City

In 1986, with my partners Marc Makowski and Peter Clark, I co-produced SLIME CITY, which I wrote and directed, on a $50,000.00 budget. Peter shot the film in 16m, my friend Robert Sabin endured hours of prosthetic makeup courtesy of J. Scott Coulter and Tom Lauten to portray the evil Zachary, who possesses a sexually frustrated college student, and Mary Huner essayed dual roles. It took us 2 years to complete SLIME CITY, which played as a midnight movie for 5 weeks at the Bleecker Street Cinemas (now the home of Kim's Underground) in New York City. We sold the film to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, England, Spain, Brazil and France, and it has been released on VHS twice in the U.S.
